Meet The Gym Team

Founder & Personal Trainer
Erin Burbidge
A lifelong fitness enthusiast (but never a natural!), I turned my struggles into a passion for helping others. From overcoming self-doubt in dance class to discovering the science of movement in GCSE PE, my journey led me to support women and the LGBTQIA+ community in building strength and confidence.
After motherhood reignited my love for fitness, I pursued Sports Science and transformed my own health—going from exhaustion after baby number four to tackling 100km challenges.
Now, through The Barbelle Club, I empower others to embrace fitness with balance, joy, and self-belief.
I believe the sky is the limit when it comes to fitness and there is nothing more rewarding than helping my clients see that too!

Natasha Bligh-Smets
With over 11 years’ experience as a Personal Trainer, I’ve worked with everyone from first-time gym-goers to seasoned athletes—both one-on-one and in group settings.
You’ll find me leading high-energy ShowGirl sessions and powerhouse Strength & Conditioning classes, bringing the perfect blend of sweat, smiles, and sass.
For me, keeping active isn’t just a job—it’s part of who I am. I live and breathe the healthy, balanced lifestyle I encourage my clients to embrace. My coaching style is friendly, non-judgemental, and grounded in empathy, so you can feel supported every step of the way.
I love pushing my own limits, both physically and mentally, and nothing makes me happier than helping others discover just how strong, capable, and confident they can be.

Class Instructor & Personal Trainer
Kayleigh Watson
I’m a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Level 2 Gym Instructor with a real passion for helping women build strength, their confidence and consistency in a way that fits in with real life.
After having my daughter, I discovered the power of strength training and just how much the gym can do for you - not only physically but mentally too. For me, it became a space to reset, rebuild my confidence and reconnect with myself and I love empowering other women to achieve the same.
My coaching style is all about helping people stay on track with their goals in a way that feels realistic, supportive and enjoyable. My classes blend strength, cardio and good vibes, with a big focus on building confidence and making movement accessible for all levels.
I spent 15 years playing roller derby in London and also had a brief spell playing rugby, so movement and community have always been a huge part of my life.
When I’m not in the gym, I’m usually exploring the woods with my rescue dog, squeezing in a CrossFit workout or aiming for gold at my local archery club.
I look forward to getting a sweat on with you soon!

Online Fitness Coach
Suki Fhalora
Suki is a coach, mum of three, and the woman helping you break free from the exhausting cycle of yo-yo dieting, guilt, and the “all or nothing” mindset.
After years of seeing women believe they had to be perfect to make progress, Suki’s approach is simple: consistency beats intensity.
She’s passionate about helping women build realistic habits, feel confident around food, and create a lifestyle that actually fits around real life messy days, busy schedules, family life and everything in between.
Through coaching, accountability and honest conversations, Suki helps women stop starting over and start building trust in themselves.
Her signature talk, “Ditch The F* It Button,”** tackles that all-too-familiar moment where one “bad” choice turns into “well, I’ve ruined it anyway…”
Suki will show you why doing less consistently will always beat chasing perfection and how small, sustainable changes create the biggest results.
Meet The Studio Team

Founder, Personal Trainer, Mat and Reformer instructor
Erin Burbidge
After years of strength training I gave a reformer a try and fell in love!
Adding reformer to my week has given me a new way to appreciate my body and build more connection with my movements.
It even helped me recover from a knee injury, so I knew I had to bring it to The Barbelle Club.

Reformer Instructor
Shelley Saffer
I’m Shelley from North Yorkshire and spent just over 10 years in the fitness industry.
I’m a qualified Personal Trainer and spent most of my teaching time at a ladies only gym near York.
I owned this business for a few years before moving to Hampshire and working on my further management skills.
Recently qualified instructor in Mat and Reformer Pilates, I focus my attention on contemporary movement which have a functional purpose.
My mission is to encourage all bodies to be empowered and feel confident with strength and control.

Reformer Instructor and Massage Therapist
Hannah King
I first started working in the health and wellbeing world around 10 years ago when I decided to train as a Sports Massage Therapist. Whilst I did my training with the London School of Sports Massage, I managed a lovely studio that had Yoga & Pilates studios as well as therapy rooms. I loved the variety of therapies, classes and experiences that explored what it meant to be physically and mentally well. Whilst building my massage work, there were patterns that I kept seeing in the people I worked with and myself - we just don’t move enough! And this can show itself in so many different ways. So I started practicing Reformer Pilates which evolved into studying it!
What I love about Pilates is that one exercise can be felt in so many different ways depending on the way it’s cued, what physical tensions you’re working with or what energy you bring to the studio, and that there’s no right or wrong way to do it (well, sort of!). I’m a big fan of Reformer classes that make you feel connected, in control, and mindful.

Hi I'm Ebony, I'm a trained dancer with a strong passion for movement, fitness and helping others feel confident and strong in their bodies.
Having trained extensively in dance, I have developed a deep understanding of body awareness, posture, alignment, flexibility and strength which is the main reason I decided to become a mat pilates instructor.

Alongside my dance career I am looking to expand in the fitness industry and will be completing training in Barre and Reformer Pilates.
I am excited to inspire clients and bring positivity to their days and help them reach their goals.
